Around the World in Art: Japan

Adults enjoy the evening in the COCA art studio, exploring Japanese ink painting, or sumi-e, which uses simple black ink and carefully curated white space. Participants learn how to paint bamboo and plum blossoms in the sumi-e tradition. Also, enjoy regional appetizers from the COCA Kitchen. You must contact COCA’s Registration Office by email at least two weeks prior to the class to provide information about food restrictions or allergies. All culinary supplies and art materials included in price. Participants leave with a piece of art they created themselves and the recipe for a dish that they enjoyed during their evening.
