Dance Showcase features ballet, hip-hop, modern, jazz, and musical theatre performances by COCA students. Over the course of the past several weeks, students have learned and rehearsed a piece for this culminating performance. Dancers from all three of COCA’s Pre-Professional Division second companies also will return to perform highlights from their spring production of TRIumphant.

Dance Showcase is a wonderful way for students to experience the commitment, collaboration, and personal discipline required to prepare for a performance. The showcase is a way for students to prepare a performance without interfering with valuable learning and technique in the classroom.

Student Enrollment in Dance Showcase

Student enrollment to participate in Dance Showcase is open to students ages 8–18 who are currently enrolled in the corresponding dance technique class at COCA. Registration closes March 30.

The participation fee is $150 per section. Students may participate in up to two sections and are eligible for a $25 discount on the second section. Students participating as part of a Pre-Professional Division company do not need to register.

Register

Rehearsals for Dance Showcase will begin in mid-March and end the first week of May. Tech and Spacing rehearsals will occur May 10–12. Performances will be Saturday, May 13 at 1:00PM & 3:00PM.
