New and returning students are required to audition for COCA’s Pre-Professional Division (PPD) Theatre Artist Program.

Design-Tech & All Theatre PPD Students

Students should prepare to interview and share their areas of interest in theatre arts. Please review our Theatre Artist Ensembles & Placements webpage to determine their specific placement and class interests and be prepared to discuss.

Non-Design-Tech Students interested in Improv Troupe, Vocal Company and COCAwrites

Although not required: If a student has a 1–2 minute monologue, they should prepare this for the audition.

They should also prepare to engage in improv activities and exercises.

Vocal Company Students

In addition to the requirements above, prepare 32 bars of a song.
